About Me
Like learning how to walk, or learning how to play an instrument, there are MANY mistakes that happened in the kitchen while I taught myself how to cook. After a few clumpy soups, plenty of salty sauces, and a handful of goopy messes in the kitchen – I started to get the hang of it.
My goal is to help people who want to learn how to cook but are too afraid to get cookin’ ! We tend to overcomplicate things. I’m here to let you know that it’s okay to mess up and I PROMISE you will learn along the way – as long as you try again. You will build your confidence and start cooking delicious meals for yourself and your loved ones. Start with the simple foods or dishes you love to eat, and get cookin!
High Quality Food
We live in such a fast paced world where people forgot how to cook and how to eat. People tend to lean towards what is convenient, cheap, and most likely very unhealthy. All the food that we come across is for the most part highly processed, filled with additives we can’t pronounce, and dumped with a whole bunch of sugar or high fructose syrup. I’m not kidding! Grab any generic store bought item and read the ingredients list. I think we owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to only allow the highest quality of food that is nourishing and to have control over what we put into our bodies.
Good Taste
Honestly, who doesn’t love good tasting food? Life is too short to be eating food that doesn’t taste so great. Sadly, it seems that good tasting food + high quality food gets very pricey! It is much cheaper and rewarding to be able to cook yourself a nice place of pasta – or anything else you’ve been craving. Once you learn to understand what it is that makes a certain dish taste a certain way, you will unlock many possibilities on enjoying the food you made!
Kitchen Confidence
Being confident in the kitchen does not mean being able to whip up a Michelin star plate. It just means getting yourself comfortable enough so that you are able to get yourself there. It means having the courage to try making the next thing you eat instead of having to go out once you’re hungry again. With time and with practice, you’ll enjoy all the fruits of your labor.
